At the outset, we give thanks to God Almighty for his encouragement, guidance and protection to our church and its members during the past three plus years of our existence in Chicago as we continue to hold ourselves in the midst of turbulent world of natural and man made calamities.
Our Vicar, Rev. Shiju Samuel, arrived in Chicago on 10th May 2007, accompanied by his wife Jaya and three year old daughter Renu. Rev. Samuel is a native of Mynagappally, Kerala and took charge of our congregation on Sunday 13th May 2007. Having completed his B.D. at the Kannamoola Seminary in Thiruvanthapuram, Rev. Samuel served as the Pastor of the CSI Church in Vaikom, Kerala. He then completed his M. Th. in Christian Theology at the FFRRC in Kottayam before heading to Chicago for his next assignment. We look forward to his leadership and pray for very successful ministry in Chicago.
Rev. Samuel is a staunch believer in disciplining one’s body and mind through exercise and meditation. An exponent of yoga, Rev. Samuel willingly shares his knowledge and expertise to the members of the congregation. He is also gifted with culinary talents.
