Report of the Youth Group

”For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords.  He is the great God, the mighty and awesome God…“  Deuteronomy 10:17

By the grace of God, the youths were able to meet together on Sundays to study ”Gripped by the Greatness of God,“ a study by Pastor James MacDonald based on Isaiah.  The study challenged us as individuals and as a group to spend time daily in God’s Word and enabled us to understand God and ourselves better.  We focused on the holiness, the awesomeness, and the sovereignty of our God.  Some of us experienced a renewed passion for the Lord and for His Word.  I extend my sincere thanks to Tony Thomas for coordinating and taking leadership in this study.

As a youth group, we also developed closer relationships with one another, especially during our fellowship fun times.  I would like to thank Jaime John and Ajith Philip for arranging our fellowship activities.  

We continued to have Youth Sundays on every fourth Sunday of the month. The youths actively participated in leading worship, in sharing the Word of God, and in leading the service.  I would like to recognize and thank the worship team, namely Jason Joseph, Anil Philip, Sonia Philip, and Tony Thomas for leading us in worship on Youth Sundays.  I would especially like to acknowledge George John, Jason Joseph, Jiju Mathew, Tony Thomas, and Mohan Zachariah for sharing the Word of God with us during Youth Sundays.

Many of our youths participated at the youth conference from December 27th through the 30th in Dallas, Texas.   The theme of the conference was ”Together for the Gospel.“  Youths from Chicago, Dallas, and Michigan came together and were blessed by the challenging messages by Pastor David Williams.  Finally, I would like to thank our Achen, Rev. Shaji Thomas, the committee, and the congregation for their prayers, support and encouragement.
